IDNAC Community Contact/Solicitation Rules

Your privacy is very important to us.  Any information that you provide to the Intuit Developer Network Advisory Council (IDNAC) Community will be treated with the utmost confidence.  IDNAC will not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal information collected on this site, including membership forms or email lists.

Much thought and consideration has taken place with the relaunch of this site; including a formal approval process for those registering for the website which must be completed prior to a member being able to post on our new forums, download existing articles, submit an article to be shared with the other members of the community, etc.

There is one area, however, that is beyond our control - CONTACT and/or SOLICITATION.  Therefore, we felt it necessary to provide written rules that each of you must accept and agree to during your sign-up process.

CONTACT and/or SOLICITATION RULES:

You are welcome to contact other Community Members by email ONLY.  This is a privilege that shall not be abusive or excessive.

*All email communication MUST provide members with the opportunity to Opt-In and Safe Unsubscribe from further communications from your company as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.  If a member does not Opt-In or Unsubscribe you MUST consider that action to be an "AUTOMATIC UNSUBSCRIBE" and remove their name immediately from your mailing list.*

If it is determined that impermissible contact is being or has been conducted in violation of the above mentioned terms, members can contact the IDNAC Webmaster and provide them with a forwarded copy of the inappropriate communication.  The IDNAC Webmaster will keep a record of complaints lodged against Community Members and then contact the offending party and notify them that they MUST cease all forms of commnication with specific members (or if there are numerous complaints about the same person to all members).  If the offending party continues to violate the terms and conditions of this website, they shall be banned from this community.

ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF CONTACT

Advisors and Developers are encouraged to distribute updates and notifications which do not include "sales" messages, such as:

  • Certification updates
  • Special Offers
  • Training Class Offerings
  • Newsletters
  • Software Updates/Enhancements

We look forward to your involvement in building a profitable "educational" on-line community based on "All Things QuickBooks".
