The IDNAC Site:
More New Resources & An Update on Upcoming Features
Last month we announced the availability of some new Free & Fee Based Resources that are now available on both the Advisor & Developer Resources pages.....with this month's newsletter we have added even more!

Nancy has been using most of the resources that are being recommended in her own business (Sunburst Software Solutions, Inc .) for some time; finding them quite valuable.  They are easy to use and have all of the "hard stuff" already done for her.  She feels that these items would assist both Advisors and Developers alike to "grow" their own business with a minimal amount of effort on their part.  Some of these resources offer Affiliate Programs, which Nancy has enrolled IDNAC  - this means that each time you make a purchase or try a product IDNAC will receive a "small" commission.  These small commissions will provide a source of income necessary to continue to maintain and update the IDNAC website without resorting to making it fee-based to it's visitors or newsletter subscribers.

This month's new resources include:
  • Constant Contact - for keeping in touch with your clients or customers. Send 50 emails per month for free or as low as $15.00 per month for 51-500.
  • Go-To-Market-Strategies - - selling and marketing your product and/or services is one of the hardest tasks for small business owners; and these folks offer Word, Excel, and PowerPoint templates that "prompt you to fill in the blanks".
  • CoffeeCup Software - simple to use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML Editor for website design.
You owe it to yourself and the growth of your business to check these items out!

Now, for an update on the searchable article database for the IDNAC site!  Nancy reports that it's coming along very nicely and will include functionality that she hadn't counted on; such as the ability to send articles to a friend, rate the article, etc.  It looks like the launch is on schedule for the middle of June - probably right after the next newsletter........so stay tuned!

Developer Interview:
SuperManager Lite by David Johns, Superware, LLC
SuperManager Lite for QuickBooks fills a void in the market for an easy and comprehensive method for exporting product and order information from Yahoo! Stores into QuickBooks.  Previously many store operators outsourced this task because of the required technical and accounting experience.  Read how SuperManager Lite can export store products and transactions with a click of a button, by clicking here........

The Evolution of the ProAdvisor Role:
From Bookkeeping & QuickBooks Training to Working With & Becoming a Developer - Part I in a series by Nancy Smyth, CQA
Do you remember back when things were pretty definitive as to what QuickBooks could or couldn't do?  A client would ask "Can QuickBooks do this or that" and you would give a "Yes or No" answer.  Remember how those "No" answers always led to discussions of but how can I accomplish this?  Things have certainly changed since back then!  Read how a challenging problem that this Advisor faced has led her down a completely new career path, by clicking here.....
