IDNAC Site: More New Resources & An Update on Upcoming
Features
Over the last two months we have announced the availability of some
new Free & Fee Based Resources
that are now available on both
the Advisor & Developer Resources pages.....would you believe
that with this month's newsletter we have added even
more!
This
month's new resources include:
- Sleeter Group's
"Desktop Accountant Newsletter"- a free E-newsletter for
QuickBooks Consultants and QuickBooks end users. Newsletter
articles include QuickBooks how-to technical advice, new features of QuickBooks,
troubleshooting tips and tricks, product reviews of QuickBooks add-on software solutions, and much
more.
- Mastering
QuickBooks Consultant's Reference Guide - 2006- - The
Sleeter Group provides QuickBooks Resources for accoutants,
bookkeepers, QuickBooks consultants, CPAs, QuickBooks software
developers and small business owners. Resources include
QuickBooks Reference Books, QuickBooks Certification,
Membership in a QuickBooks Consultants Network, QuickBooks
Teaching Systems,
and more.
Having your own business is a lot of
work; you owe it to yourself and the growth of your business to
check out each of the items we've referenced in the last few
newsletters!
Now, for an update on the searchable article database
for the IDNAC site!
Nancy reports that it's coming along very
nicely and will include functionality that she hadn't counted on;
such as the ability to send articles to a friend, rate the article,
etc. While it originally looked like the lauch was on schedule
for the middle of June (right after this newsletter) It looks like
the launch will actually be closer to the 2nd week of July as
there is still a lot of work to be done and time is
certainly hard to find, watch for an announcement in the July Newsletter!
........so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out the
changes that have been made to the
forums!

The World of e-Commerce Part III in a series of articles by Roxanne
Brown Over the last two months Roxanne
started our series on e-Commerce with the help of Barney Stone
(President of Stone Edge Technologies) and an overview on
what the world of e-Commerce has become. This month, our own "Queen
of e-Commerce", talks about Mid-Level Order Processors and understanding the process of
where to start. She even talks about the functionality of three products
and "rates" each one. To see which product
get's Roxanne's "5-star review, read the complete
article here....... Back to top....
Developer Interview: T-Hub by Atandra - Manish
Jha T-Hub was
developed to ease the pain of
systems integration for eCommerce business owners. It's an on-line order
manager that will track orders, handle shipping,
process credit card payments and provides QuickBooks integration. To

Developer Interview: SuperManager Order Processor by David Johns, Superware, LLC

month David is back to talk about The SuperManager
Order Processor which fills a void in the
market for an intermediate level order processor
by offering a great deal of functionality for
Yahoo! Store owners and others.Read the complete article by clicking

The Evolution of the Role of the
ProAdvisor: From
Bookkeeping & QuickBooks Training to Working With & Becoming
a Developer - Part II in a series by
Nancy Smyth, CQA. Last month
I talked about the initial stages of the evolution of the role of
the ProAdvisor - discovering the "need" for automation, then the
"seach" for that automation, and the time-consuming "work-a-rounds"
that we develop in order to obtain "some" automation. This
month I'll talk about what it's like to work with a programmer (aka
Developer) and my own evolution from Bookkeeper/ProAdvisor to
Developer/ProAdvisor. While this "evolution" may not be for
you, hopefully what you will take away is a better understanding of
"how" a developer thinks, which can only benefit
your own interaction with Developers of
QuickBooks compatible software. Read the

The Importance of Keepingin Touch with Current
Customers/Clients and How
to Attract New Customers/Clients
by Nancy Smyth,
CQA How do you stay in touch with your
clients/customers? I mean it's virtually impossible to
literally pick up the phone and call each and every one of them;
especially if you have a large client/customer base. Creating
a newsletter is a great way to stay in touch with your current
customers/clients, and extending that newsletter to visitors to your
site will allow you to build credibility, establish your expertise
in a certain industry, and to project
a credible image that can result in new customers. To read
