Welcome!
Wow! the response and feedback to this Newsletter has been incredible, in just a little over two weeks we have over
100 subscribers! We would just like to
take a moment to say Thank You! to everyone who has signed up and sent feedback.
We have had several Developers express their desire to be show cased in an Interview about their company and their products, and we
have also had some Advisors who have expressed their willingness to share their knowledge and provide some "tips" on integration
in general and to talk about their favorite QuickBooks Integrated Applications.
If you would like to be featured in an upcoming Newsletter, please Contact Us
Beginning with this issue we will be going to a Monthly Newsletter format, and you can expect your newsletter to arrive around the
15th of each and every month. Most of the contents of this newsletter is to introduce you to what our planned standard
monthly content will be, in addition to interviews with Advisors & Developers.
We would also like to take a moment and give a Very Special Thank-you to Bruce Heim of BDTS and our very
own Roxanne Brown. Bruce and Roxanne "volunteered" to be our initial guinea pigs if you will, for the Questionnaires
that were developed for Advisor and Developer Interviews!
OOPS, we goofed! There was a problem with the RSS Feed that was distributed in the last
newsletter, it did not contain all of the forums for some reason. Please edit or replace the feed with the following

The IDNAC Forum
Posting on the Forum - How to Effectively Use the forums
Each month we will look at a section of the Forum or a section of the site and explain what it contains, it's intended use, and discuss it's use, and benefits. This
month we will begin by first discussing the Start Here - General Forum Use & Guidelines Forum, and then cover in
detail the General Forum section.
Basically we covered everything in the last newsletter that is within the Start Here - General Forum Use & Guidelines Forum, with one
exception, The Rules of the Game
As the name implies, these are the forum "guidelines" that we would like everyone to follow. They are simple, respectful and should
promote a safe community in which we may interact with one another.

Etiquette Section
Introducing the Etiquette Section
Proper Etiquette is about more than knowing which fork to use in a fancy restaurant, it is also about knowing
how to make a good first impression - after all we only get one chance to meet someone for the first time and "wow"
them with our products or our services.
Beginning with the September newsletter, we will be discussing how to "make a good first impression" by email,
by phone, and with our websites.

Ask the Experts Column
Introducing the "Ask The Experts Column"
Have you ever had a question about integration and just didn't know who to turn to?
Have you ever had a question about working with Advisors or Developers?
Have you chosen to never ask the question because you were afraid you would sound "silly'?
In September you will meet the "Dear Abby's of Integration" and be able to submit questions to be answered in future issues.

Working Remotely - What Is It and What Does it Mean to You?
What is the difference between remote access and file transfers?
Why would you use one service over the other?
As ProAdvisors, we are asked these questions on a weekly basis. For those of us that have been using various
services over the years, it may seem like a simple answer; "Working remotely is a way to work with the
clients' data from your office instead of theirs, and file transfers is just transferring file"......
however, there is really a lot more to the story with the ever-changing world of technology.

Using BDTS by Roxanne Brown
Roxanne has focused the last few year on supporting QuickBooks and helping small-to-medium
sized business owners streamline their internal procedures, get the most out of their
QuickBooks software and provide integration services with 3rd party programs. Today,
approximately 75% of her business is performed remotely, and she works with eCommerce
clients around the globe.
When asked about building a practice that is based on remote procedures, she says "I was
working 'virtually' long before it was the 'in thing' to do, when my only real option was
pcAnywhere and a dial-up connection."
